It was 2011 and I was at a poker table in Las Vegas. A young woman came into the room and I immediately noticed her. She then ended up getting seated at the table where I was playing. Someone at our table asked her what she did for a living and she said “I’m a writer.” I thought she was cute and wanted to talk to her, so I asked “what kind of writer?” and she replied “a copywriter.” I said “wow that’s amazing” and proceeded to type “what is a copywriter” into my smartphone. That was my first introduction to the world of copywriting.
